To write your summary about a book, please click on the comments link below.  Include the title, author, a brief summary, your favorite part, your first name and grade level.  Summaries will  be checked and then posted on the blog page.  Don’t forget to check back in a few days to read all the wonderful summaries including your own.

Below is a list of some fun things you could write about;

  • favorite character
  • funniest part of the book
  • most emotional part of the book
  • comments about the illustrations
  • Who would enjoy this book?

Example:

The Watson’s Go to Birmingham -1963 Christopher Paul Curtis

Mrs. W  Grade 5

I love this book because it is a story about a family that loves each other very much.  Although, many times you aren’t sure that they even really like each other.  The time period is set in the 1960′s during the Civil Rights Movement.  The family experiences many types of prejudice throughout the book. The book will make you cry and it will make you laugh.  I would highly recommend this book for anyone who cares deeply about their family and friends.
